A summer with Middle Division is all about self-exploration, independence and great friends. Campers love our arts and science specialties, performance arts, sports, martial arts, aquatics, outdoor fun at the beach and the park. The program includes one weekly trip inside and outside the five boroughs to awesome places like Hurricane Harbor, Keansburg Amusement Park, Museum of Natural History, and the Bronx Zoo.

Middle Division has an in-house overnight at the Y and an exciting two day overnight in Pennsylvania at the New Jersey Y camp-grounds. Campers explore the great outdoors with nature activities, repelling, ropes courses, banana boats, and of course, a traditional campfire with s'mores.

Swimming

One of the highlights at the Y is our partnership with the Shorefront Y Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy. Professional swim instructors have incorporated a special swim program using aspects of our premier swim academy's special SwimRight© method! Our swim program includes daily instructional and free swim in our Olympic sized pool with their counselors and professional aquatics staff as well as playing at the beach and splashing in the water under close supervision of our staff and lifeguards, weather permitting.

With safety being one of our utmost concerns, there is a staff to camper ratio of 1 counselor to every 6 children.
